Plain Can Be Lovely

My friend Kristen took this picture of me running during the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Montreal. It was my third half marathon. I loved my tutu.

My name is Mei Ling and I am an avid reader who loves music, cookies, food, travel and running. My husband’s name is Dan and together we are the proud owners of a 4 lb Chihuahua, Daisy. In my professional life I work in corporate communications and I have a Masters in Professional Communication. I’ve lived in places spanning from Sydney, Australia to Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and I currently live in Toronto.

I love to write, and started this blog when I was an intern in the hopes of showing off my writing skills and finding a job. Shortly after I started the blog, I found a job on my own. Throughout the years I’ve sort of updated it, but now I would love to use this blog as a way to chronicle my running, travelling and food adventures. It’s also a nice outlet for me and an opportunity to write something less formal (i.e. something that doesn’t belong in the corporate communications world).

I also love taking pictures (my nickname in grad school was paparazzi), so hopefully there will always be lots of pictures in my post.
